UKCFUG needs your help!

After not one but two of the UKCFUG sponsors have not managed to pay their bill for the last two quarters the user group have found themselves in a rather desperate position of looking for new sponsors in really short order. The main thing that we need is cash, cash to pay for the meeting venue.

If you would like to sponsor the UK ColdFusion user group, please get in touch with the board.

Halo Bar

Last night, Matt dragged me to the Halo Bar in Battersea for some sweet Jazz. Matt's decription was very simple, "Its solid"

So I headed down to a bar with nothing but a chalk board outside advertising 'Live Jazz'. In we went. There was a small crowd but it was very very cool!

So if you are free next Monday, head on down to the Halo Bar, 317 Battersea Park Rd, SW11. It can be a little hard to find, if you know where Dusk is, find it and then head east less than half a block!

Well Done London BusEs!

Well done to the driver of the 260 bus that went through Shepherds Bush at 7ish this morning!

Ok so I know that you would never hear this but today, in the snow, I was walking to my local bus stop and at the end of my street I turned right, only to see my bus pulling out of the bust stop one block away.

The bus driver must have seen the look of dismay on my face because she promplty pulled over right in front of me to let me on the bus instead of leaving me standing in the cold for 10 minutes!

Photos from Trailblaze!

Sorry folks, I forgot to post the link to my photos from last weekend. There are not too many of them (it is hard to take photos whilst you are riding) enjoy! Photos from the trailblaze

Made it!

Nik and I managed to return from the wild parts of England relativly unscathed. After just over 100 miles on a bike and more than our fair share of hills we made it back to London arround 8pm.

The rain was very nice to us and we stayed dry execpt for our feet (there was a water crossing that be both decided to just ride through instead of join the queue to cross on the bridge) and we did not starve.

Anyway, if you ever want a little bit of a challange and a great view of the English countryside, I am sure Nik and I would be up to doing it again!

All Ready to go!

If you are looking for me this weekend, you should look on the road. Niklas (or Prismix fame) and I are going on a nice little bike ride. We are joining the folks from Systrans on their trailblazing ride from London to the Eden Project and riding from London to Winchester (we could not get the time off work to do the rest!) So if you are out and about, give us a wave (or buy us a beer!)

Notting Hill Carnival

For those of you who do not live in London, this weekend saw the annual Notting Hill Carnival and since it is just down the road, I went!

Armed with some water, cash (for beer) and a camera, off I went!

A great weekend was had by all!

On Ya Bike!

It seems you can now rent a bicycle from your Mobile Phone!! A London company, OYBike have started a trial in west London (Hammersmith and Fulham to be accurate) and it is a point to point system ,so you can grab a bike from one place, ride it to your destination and plug it back into the system there!

kinda cool hu?
