Need to get away? Mid Life Crisis?

So you are old now? Time for that mid-life crisis? I have the the answer! Now they say that when you hit your mid-life crisis you need to get yourself a fast car but I think that this might be taking it a little too far... There is an Apache helicopter up for sale on ebay!

Yes, I need to get away and do something different but can't think what. Have done 'almost' everything I have wanted to do so I'm stuck.
5 children and 10 grandchildren later and half way through a law degree, I need to do something different, but what?
As this was posted on line on my birthday, I thought I would reply.
Any ideas????

Cathy's Gravatar I so know how that feels. I want to escape - sell up everything and just go into the unknown and spend some time on my own to find myself again (if at all possible). I am also in such a rut - 46 yrs old, no love in my life, feel like I've done everything to keep everyone else happy and there is NOTHING I get in return - you try so hard to please everyone else and keep everyone else happy, that you forget about yourself. I also feel dead inside - numb to the core - empty and like I have nothing to offer in any relationship, friendship or anything - just realised may be midlife crisis too. What the heck next? What sort of work do you do? What do you do when you're not qualified to do anything else? Can we not just exist in a world where there aren't any noisy neighbours, barking dogs, screaming kids? I just want peace and tranquility! Seems impossible to find. Any suggestions?
