RedBalloon Days is the leading provider of gift experiences for the Australia New Zealand markets, serving over 4,000 corporate customers 90,000 individuals.
As lead CF developer for RedBalloon Lucas has been responsible for steering the overall project direction and managing priorities and development actions.
My other responsibilities include:
Macromedia (now Adobe) (2001 - 2005)
Since the merge between Macromedia and Allaire, Lucas has been, in part responsible for coordinating the European consulting business as well as being involved with many large Spectra engagements and partner enablement of the current channel.
Lucas has recently moved into the European Sales and Marketing team to provide additional focus on the server technologies within the European region. In this new role he is responsible for end customer satisfaction, from solution design, partner selection and end solution delivery.

Allaire (2000 - 2001)
Whilst working for Allaire consulting, Lucas has taken a mentor role in several large Spectra project in several different countries (Belgium, Switzerland, Sweden & USA) as well as performing Code Reviews and Performance Analysis engagements.
Lucas also contributed to the growth of the development community around the Spectra product by authoring several articles for the Spectra Reference desk (http://www.macromedia.com/desdev/)
FirmwareDesign, Australia (1999 - 2000)
Hired as an adjunct to the sales team, Lucas was involved in assisting clients in evaluating their internet strategies and making internet technology decisions. In this role as technical consultant he was able to call on his previous knowledge and experience and ensure that customers were making the most appropriate technology decision.
Lucas played a key role in establishing Firmware's consulting team. In this role he assisted in the building of some of Australia's largest spectra web sites. These include Virtual Communities (www.vtown.com.au), ANZ (www.myanz.com) and BHP Steel extranet.
Lucas' special brand of skills did not go unnoticed at FirmwareDesign. He was the subject of many press releases regarding his work, including one about his work at Virtual Communities (http://www.firmware.com.au/news/ANM/May00/virt_com.cfm)
Balanced IT Services. Australia (1997 - 1999)
Balanced IT Services is a corporate solutions provider servicing government and corporate entities. Lucas was hired as a network technology specialist. This involved designing and building corporate network solutions. He was responsible for the role out of several large corporate networks and Year 2000 compliance programs.
Once again, his thought turned to the Internet and established the Internet development arm of Balanced IT Services. Through this, he went on to develop FreeISP, one of the first free Internet services in Australia.
